Band Story
Army of In Between (AOIB) is a theatrical horror art band that performs an avant-garde fusion of industrial, metal, and horror film score. Founded in Carroll, Iowa, in 1997 by Pitt Ripply, the band relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, in 2003. Currently, AOIB records independently through Infinite Productions and DF Studios, with releases under ZeroPoint Music in the United States. The band's lineup includes Pitt (vocals/synth), DarC (guitars), and Halbgott (drums/synth/guitars).
Their latest album project, Polytheistic Revolution, explores the theme of the return of gods from deep space, delving into humanity's fear of the extraterrestrial. This futuristic concept album offers a new interpretation of the apocalypse and the subsequent new age of life. Preceding this, the Defrag the Earth EP was released in October 2009, with the full Polytheistic Revolution LP scheduled for release in October 2010. To promote their work, AOIB planned the 'Defrag The Tour' for the summer of 2010.
