Co-produced with Jamey Perrenot (Taylor Swift, LeAnn Rimes, Paul Brant), “Resistor” features standout tracks, “Letting You Go”, “Why You're Gone” and ”Into The Ground”, “Hello” & “Mama Said”. Debut single, “Letting You Go” is already gaining traction at commercial radio, much like his previous singles which charted 6 times, and “All On Me” reaching #1 on two stations. <P>In addition to performing over 250 shows a year in the US, Fred just wrapped up his 2nd tour of Asia and the Far East where he spent 2 months performing and visiting with the brave men and woman of the US Armed Forces stationed overseas. He has traveled to China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Diego Garcia with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) and the Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR). While there, he became the FIRST ARTIST EVER to perform at the US Embassy in China as well as perform for the brave few stationed at the DMZ. Fred was so well received that he has already accepted another invitation to return in late 2010/2011.<P>Fred’s music has already been featured in television favorites like FX’s, “The Shield” and “Ultimate Fighting Championship”, as well as in films like Miramax's hit, “The Station Agent”. He has shared the stage with Chuck Berry, Kid Rock, Journey, The Goo Goo Dolls, Staind, Collective Soul, Maroon 5, Billy Ray Cyrus and many more, delivering “…blistering, bold, guitar-driven sounds” (Vanity Fair), as well as features in Billboard and Hit Parader. Fred has previously worked with Brian Sperber (Moby, Hinder, 3 Doors Down) and Mike Mushok (guitarist for Staind) on “The Fred Shafer EP”, which yielded, “Going Blind”, the video for which featured Mushok. Recently, Fred began writing songs for other artists such as Autumn McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Canadian Idol, Pop Stars and more. <P>With the release of “Resistor” on Oct 5th nationwide, Fred Shafer will spend 2010/2011 on a worldwide tour. </p>
