Anita Prime is a distinguished R&B and pop singer-songwriter from New Zealand, celebrated for her powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence. Originating from Palmerston North and now based in the Hutt Valley near Wellington, she has made significant strides in both national and international music scenes.

In 2011, Anita gained international acclaim when her single “La La La” won Best Music Video at the Los Angeles Music Awards, marking her as the first New Zealander to receive this honor. That same year, her track “Complicated” climbed to #33 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Chart, maintaining its position for 11 consecutive weeks.
Her debut album, Destiny, produced in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Ron Thaler, showcases her ability to blend soulful melodies with contemporary pop rhythms. The album features contributions from notable musicians, including bassist Rick May and pianist Pete Remm.
