Shar first got interested in music at the age of 6. Her 1st talent show was at that age. She took guitar lessons at age 11. Shar was inspired by Hubert Sumlin, who played with Howlin Wolf for many years. Shar's Dad bought her first electric guitar a Harmony Rocket, in the early 60's which she still plays today at times on stage. Shar's Dad was a gospel singer in the 50's and 60's. He opened for Sam Cooke & the Soul Stirrers, The Alabama Blind Boys, The Dixie Humming Birds to name a few. Shar's Aunt Marie gave her the name SharBaby at the age of 6. Shar and her Sister, Marilyn sung around South Bend, Indiana for 10 Years. South Bend, Indiana is Shar's home town. Shar has played many festivals both in the U.S. and Europe. She is on many radio stations in the U.S. and Europe. Shar has recorded a few CD's in her time. She is now ranked #2 on Reverbnation Blues Chart in Birmingham, Alabama. Shar is returning to the UK in June 22 thru August 2, 2011 to record an Album written for her by Steve Payne, a recording Artist with Digitdoc Records.
