Band Story
Cooper Brown, a native of Jackson, Tennessee, discovered his passion for music during his junior year of high school when he first picked up a guitar. This late-blooming interest quickly became a driving force in his life, leading him to pursue a degree in Songwriting at Belmont University in Nashville. During his time at Belmont, Cooper immersed himself in the vibrant Nashville music scene, collaborating with various artists to refine his songwriting skills.
In 2010, Cooper released his debut album, Venture, a 10-track collection that reflects his personal experiences and musical journey. The album showcases his influences, including bands like Switchfoot, Coldplay, and Future of Forestry, blending identifiable themes with eclectic styles. Tracks such as "Atlantic Sun," "Moment Without Time," and "Don't Wake The Dead" highlight his versatility and depth as a songwriter.
After completing his studies, Cooper returned to Jackson in 2014, where he began performing solo shows. Through networking and local performances, he connected with fellow musicians Phoebe Scott, Will Kwasigroh, Matt Hammonds, and Joseph Kyle, leading to the formation of Coopertheband. The band, described as a "bramily" (band/friends/family), combines their diverse talents to create a unique indie rock sound.

Coopertheband has achieved international success, with their music featured on networks like HBO, ESPN, and TruTV, as well as the hit show "Without a Trace." They have also toured across Canada, Europe, South America, and Africa, building a global fanbase. Their discography includes two full-length albums, Kingdoms and Venture, and two EPs, Kings and Drive.
Cooper's journey from a high school student discovering his musical passion to the frontman of a successful indie rock band exemplifies his dedication and love for music.
