Jennifer?s songs, filled with emotion and conviction, combine sophisticated lyrics and captivating sounds that resonate with both introspection and profound spirituality. This music is unique in that it both soothes the soul, and simultaneously lifts the heart with hope. Jennifer?s classical music background is reflected in her work; she started on violin and piano at a tender age, and later pursued formal music studies at Boston?s Berklee College of Music as a Cleo Laine scholarship recipient. Following her graduation, the pull of Pop music deepened. As the scope of her musical repertoire expanded, Jennifer explored Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel, among others, and it was not long before she was writing her own songs. After relocating from Boston to Los Angeles, freelancing as a studio and stage vocalist occupied her efforts. During this time, she worked with a wide variety of artists, including Irene Cara, Miguel Kertzman, Lita Ford, Katelyn Hopkins, and Bang Tango. At the same time, Jennifer assembled her own "Most Excellent Band," the goal being to showcase her own music. As Jennifer wrote and worked, the drive to record that music grew stronger. The debut album, Jennifer, was released in 1996. Album Network called her music "?sweet, intimate and accomplished." That same year, the album was also released in Spain and Portugal, where she garnered critical acclaim. International radio time was plentiful and positive: Jennifer was "Album de la Semana" at Radio Tordera 107.1FM, in Tordera, Spain. Songs from the album enjoyed generous radio airplay, including heavy spins at Penguin FM, Bali FM, Cassanova FM, Hot 100.9, and CDBS FM, in Bali, Indonesia. The second album, RED, was released in 1997. Jennifer?s popularity continued to grow via radio in the United States as well as in Europe. Again, Album Network praised the artist and the music, commenting on Jennifer?s ??tremendous growth ?as a singer and songwriter?? Favorable radio airplay, along with interest for film and television projects, built a strong momentum as her listenership expanded. Oh, My, Jennifer?s third album, was released in 2000. It revealed something new and wonderful to the world?it displayed an experienced heart and maturing soul. With its colorful lyrics and evocative emotional textures?from the sweet and tender ballads, (Song for St. Symin, Beautiful One), to the strong, hypnotic up-tempo cuts (Some Religion, Matter of Time and the title track, Oh, My) ?the album gave full play to the extraordinary range that Jennifer?s voice is capable of conveying. It?s a dazzling array, in one moment vulnerable and intimate, in the next pure strength and power. Jennifer's music has been featured in film including independent films "Kejar Amerika" and "Solid Cover". Television credits include "Dawson's Creek", MTV's "Undressed", Discovery Channel's "Outward Bound", as well as Australia's, "The Saddle Club" and Spain's "Hasiberriak" and "Goenkale". Jennifer?s music has also been featured on National Public Radio. From The Dark, Jennifer?s latest offering, takes the listener to new levels. Nine new songs make up this fresh collection, which once again features Jennifer on violin, piano, and keyboards.
