Band Story

Gypsy Piano Blues: One Woman. One Sound. One Soul-Drenched Revival.

"Seeing Blue" has officially dropped — and fans of sultry, slow-burning blues have every reason to celebrate. The title track leads the charge as the vanguard single, delivering a heady, hypnotic taste of what this powerhouse One-Woman Band is all about.

Formerly known as Gypsy Piano Blues, and now performing under the name One Woman Band, Peachey's project is a full-body experience — soaked in smoke, soul, and starlight. "Seeing Blue" showcases her signature blend: part sensual blues, part gritty rock, and entirely unforgettable. It’s not just a record — it’s a vibe. A slow, deep musical massage that lingers long after the last note fades.

Peachey's voice? Smoky and seductive. Her melodies? Gritty and raw. The sound? A swirling cocktail of downtempo grooves, psychedelic undertones, and timeless blues power that reaches deep into the spirit. “It’s more rock-blues than traditional,” Peachey explains, “but it brings in all the other styles the blues evokes.”

This isn't Peachey's first dance with the devil. Since launching the project in 1994 in Pennsylvania, she’s built a loyal following. With two previous albums — 2004’s Cry of the Gypsy and 2006’s Roll With Me Daddy — she carved her name into the indie blues-rock circuit. She also appeared on the Code Pearl tribute to Janis Joplin, delivering a raw rendition of “Chain of Fools” and her own original track “All Out of Lies.” Proceeds from that disc went to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, proving Peachey’s heart hits as hard as her voice.

She's graced the stages of the Baltimore Jazz & Blues Festival and the Federal Hill Jazz & Blues Fest, and her music has earned spins on stations that still believe in the power of raw, unfiltered emotion.

"Seeing Blue" isn’t just an album — it’s a testament. A love letter to the blues, kissed with rock fire, and sent straight from the soul of a woman who’s lived every note she plays.
