Band Story
2009 was an incredible year for 9Lies! It marked our first-ever tour of Germany and the opportunity to work with legendary producer Stuart Epps, who shared amazing stories about icons like Robbie Williams and Oasis. But the biggest milestone was stepping into the mainstream with the announcement of our first big-budget UK single release since signing with Maddie Records in June. Woohoo! Let’s take a nostalgic trip down memory lane!
Since the release of our Behind It All album in 2006, it’s been a thrilling rollercoaster ride. Our song Blind was picked up by Warner TV, while the title track became the theme tune for Our Prisoner in the USA. In 2007, Slippin’ Away was downloaded more than 143,000 times and was recognized by ASCAP for songwriting excellence at the Music Expo in L.A.
Last year was our biggest yet! We traveled to Poland to perform at the Vena Music Festival in ?ód?, playing to thousands of screaming fans alongside acts like the Sugababes and Fun Lovin’ Criminals. But that’s not all! We were invited to play FMI in Brazil, licensed We R1 to Techno Sweat, and are gearing up for the release of Trucker 2—the first-ever video game to feature our music.
To top it all off, we’ve just returned from an unforgettable European tour, traveling from St. Augustine to Aachen. Thank you for your continued support—it means the world to us. We’re working tirelessly to make you proud and to ensure 2010 will be our biggest year yet!
