Jamison Young is an Australian sing-songwriter who is touring around Europe playing his own compositions in many different venues and bars. His songs are a mix of stories, social comments and love. The set up is classical (he plays guitar and harmonica) but in a most unusual way with alternating changing rhythms which seems to have a tribal organic theme to it all. This is supported by a projection of images which tell a story about the places Jamison has visited on his many toursand travels.
The reaction of the audience was surprisingly enthusiastic and warm - which I found exceptional myself because it was music performed by a musician they heard and saw for the very first time. He also sold quite a few Cd's reaching/touching young and old alike with his music.
Jamison Young is in fact an artist with a mobile podium concept. Which means he can play anywhere and at anytime. That is a dream for any promoter/organization.
This was our first time working with Jamison Young and it was a very pleasant, successful experience for all concerned. People who were present and those who happened to miss the concert are now asking me when he will be back again in Belgium. Therefore we hope to book him for another Sunshine concert some time in 2008 and via our many concert partners.
