She found both at The Theatre School at DePaul University, where her love of Shakespeare deepened and her expressive instincts sharpened. After graduation, she launched a folk duo with a friend-of-a-friend, playing the local circuit and soaking up the scene—though not exactly raking in the cash. The pull of responsibility led her back to school and into a career as a teacher.
Then life threw her a curveball of the most beautiful kind: two adopted children from Guatemala, who brought joy, chaos, and fierce inspiration into her world. Music took a back seat, but the songwriting never stopped. It simmered—quietly, deeply—and now it’s erupting in full force.
