Band Story
Stephen “Steff” Fontaine is a veteran rock vocalist whose career has spanned three decades. After a brief absence from the scene, Steff has returned and is ready to rock!
Career Highlights:
1976 - Joined Alien, an Arizona-based band that was voted the No.1 cover band in Phoenix in 1977.
1980 - Joined the band Full House, formerly known as Black Sheep.
1980 - Wrote and recorded the vocals on an album for the Orange County-based band Hustler. The band was managed by guitarist and entrepreneurial juggernaut Jim Hambrick.
1982 - Joined the band Joshua, which was voted Music Connection Magazine’s Band and Album of the Year.
1984 - Formed the band Outcast with Scott Warren (current keyboardist for Dio).
1986 - Accepted as the vocalist for Uriah Heep’s United States and Canadian tour.
1988 - Formed the band Ring Leader, a studio project with guitarist Lonny Napier.
1990 - Formed the band Dirty World with guitarist Brad Wilson (Blind Date) and drummer Marc Droubay (Survivor).
1991 - Joined the Eddie St. James Project.
1997 - Formed Majestic (a Journey tribute band) and Burn (a tribute band to Deep Purple and Rainbow).
1999 - Formed the band Nightmare Carnival.
2000 - Formed the band Heartache City with guitarist Ron Sachs and bassist Wanda “Vixen” Ortiz (currently with the Iron Maidens).
2001 to Present - Produced and performed background vocals for various LA/OC and international rock projects. Also sang with the Whitesnake and Rainbow tribute band WhiteRain. Currently involved with various passions—STAY TUNED!
