But I was never really a Christian. My parents requested that I go and I went along… begrudgingly. I played the part of a Christian for a while in my younger days until that was not cool anymore. I strayed down the wrong path for 6 years. I was into just about every sinful thing that you could imagine. My life was going nowhere except deeper into despair. I went on this way until I hit rock-bottom. With the help of my fellow band members, I finally found Jesus. I finally realized what it is to be a true Christian and not just play the part. The love and comfort that I have found in Jesus Christ is unlike any other that I have ever known. I am immensely grateful for the chance to use my talents for his work. My only hope is that I may be able to reach someone who was like me, someone who felt that there was no way out. If this band reaches just one person and leads them to the love of Jesus Christ that will save their life, then it will all be worth it. I'm originally from Haverhill, Massachusetts but my family moved to Delta, AL back in September of 2004. I've been playing guitar since about March of '03 and I guess I bring an alternative/experimental rock influence to the band. I didn't really play my guitar much for about the first 3 years I had it, I really started to take it seriously back in Jan of '06. For the first 17 years of my life I never considered myself a Christian, or anything of that matter. I really just flat out didn't believe and didn't care, but I guess you can say I started to change my thinking back in December of 2005. Me, my brother John, and our friend Justice got into a car wreck on Nov. 30th, and it was bad to say the least. All I wound up with was a broken arm and wrist, but John and Justice each had life threatening injuries and honestly they shouldn't be here today. And after that something just made me think. Someone kept all of us alive, and that's when I asked God into my life. Then in January of 06', Justin (our former guitarist) asked me if I wanted to tryout to be in the band. I was kinda shocked because I wasn't a Christian at the time, and no one in the band had ever heard me play before (and I considered myself a mediocre guitarist at best). So long story short I had my tryout and I guess they liked what they heard cause now I'm in the band, and it has been one of the best times of my life. Also, I'd just like to thank God for turning my life around and putting me on the right path. I guess that's it.........peace. I was saved as a young teen, but let's just say I haven't exactly always been focused on the will of God. However, my focus since the introduction of ReVrence I've learned to rely on God, and trust him with my present, and future. My biggest focus lately has been proclaiming the word of God to everyone who'll hear. My latest project is to try to find a way to remind the church (as a whole), that we need to focus on God, not society, and definitely not denominations. Any help would be appreciated. Rusty Uses Fender and DocRock basses, Peavey 700 tour series amp, Peavey and Carvin Cabs, Behringer bass V-amp effects, Sure wireless, Korg tuners, and Curt Mangan Strings Chris Nall "Dat Drumma" - Drums While saved as a youth Chris played the Sunday Christian game for many years. He soon found himself out of church and playing in local bars in Dallas. As a part of the sex drugs and rock and roll scene Chris became an accomplished musician recording and touring with many bands in Texas. After moving to Alabama to raise a family Chris found God again and wanted a deeper walk with Him. There he finally began to listen to his calling on his life. He credits his earlier days for most of his drumming skills, but now understands the power in doing God’s work through music. Under God’s direction he helped form the band ReVrence in the year 2003 and has not looked back yet. His favorite quotes are: “If God is behind it, it can NOT fail” and “This train is going down the tracks, I will not ignore God anymore!” Squidward uses DDrum Pecussion, signature sticks, Zildjian and Wuhan cymbals, DW and Gibralter hardware, sure in-ear monitors, and Roland SPD electronics
