A Lifelong Love Affair with Music, Family, and Faith
I've been playing guitar since 1969, and while the years may stack up, music keeps my spirit forever young. With every chord I strum and every note I play, I'm reminded that age is just a number when your soul is plugged into something as powerful and timeless as music.
My life is grounded in three enduring passions: my family, rock music, and Jesus—though the order may shift depending on the day. These elements aren't just parts of my life; they're the foundation of who I am. They inspire the songs I write, the melodies I chase, and the purpose behind every performance.
I’m blessed to be part of Gracecase, a Christian Contemporary Ministry band devoted to spreading a message of hope and faith through music. In Gracecase, we don’t just play songs—we offer prayers set to rhythm, testimonies told through harmony. It's a joy and a calling to be able to minister through sound, and there's nothing quite like watching someone's spirit lift because of a song we played.
Like many musicians, I hold onto a humble dream: to have just one song take off, to see it touch thousands of lives—even if it never earns a dime. If one person out there finds strength, healing, or hope in something I wrote, then that alone makes it all worth it. Fame and fortune have never been the goal. It's about connection, purpose, and praise.
So here I am—decades in, guitar still in hand, heart still full. The dream is alive, and the music? It’s still rockin’. And who knows? Maybe that one special song is just around the corner. Until then, I’ll keep playing, keep praying, and keep believing.
Because at the end of the day, if music can move even one soul closer to grace—then I’m already a happy pappy.
