Isle of Thieves is an alternative rock band based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Formed in 2006, the band comprises Japeth (vocals/guitar), Mike Marsh (lead guitar), Justin Kwan (synthesizers/vocals), Charles Canovas (bass), and Matt Coatsworth (drums). Their music blends energetic rhythms, textural riffs, driving power chords, catchy synth leads, and memorable vocal melodies, creating a harmonious fusion of punky alt-rock, Brit-pop, and new wave influences.
In 2008, Isle of Thieves released their debut album, Only Human, which was later remixed and remastered in 2010 with an additional track, "Best Mistake." The album features standout tracks like "Hollywood (Cleft Lip)," "Rockstar," and "Clinger," showcasing the band's ability to craft catchy, radio-friendly rock songs.
