Band Story

My Musical Journey

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. In 1997, I joined my first band, BRIK. We had the privilege of sharing stages with numerous national acts and performed throughout the Southwest region of the United States. After leaving BRIK in 2000, I formed a new band called CELL. Like BRIK, we played alongside national acts and toured the Southwestern United States. However, CELL was short-lived, and we parted ways in 2001.

After enduring years of band drama and mayhem, I decided to step away from music. But that break didn’t last long—music has always been my true passion. In 2004, I decided to give band life another try. I responded to an ad on a Phoenix local band website looking for a singer, auditioned, and was accepted into a band called PINGA. Unfortunately, my time with PINGA was brief—just six months—as I had to leave due to a job promotion.

Feeling disheartened but unwilling to give up on music, I decided to take matters into my own hands. In 2005, I bought a guitar and began writing my own songs. By 2007, I had expanded my setup with a bass guitar, a keyboard, and recording software. I even built a vocal booth and created a small recording studio where I could record my music and work with friends.

That same year, I achieved a milestone: I composed my first score for an independent film, The Psychomanteum, directed by Dave Holt from Art in Film Productions. Not only did I create the film’s score, but I also had the opportunity to feature an original song during the movie’s end credits.

In 2008, I collaborated with Dave Holt again, scoring another film called Clownwarp. This project allowed me to gain valuable experience while continuing to develop my recording and songwriting skills.

Towards the end of 2008, I decided to write and produce an entire album on my own. In January 2009, I began working on a 12-song album titled Stitched with Memories, completing it by July of the same year. The album reflects my journey through prior band experiences, but the songs take on a more positive tone. The music is a blend of ambient, heavy, and moody styles, showcasing my personal evolution as an artist.

I’m not looking for a record label or mainstream fame—I simply want people to enjoy my music as much as I enjoy creating it.
