Acid Uprising
Band Story
Acid Uprising is a unique hybrid-metal band from Mission Hills, CA, formed in the fall of 2009 by Shaun (guitar), Konstantyn (bass), and Brian (drums). Originally, our purpose was simple: drink beer and make noise. Either we drank too much beer, or the noise became intolerable for Shaun, and he left after about a month. Luckily, Denis stepped in and took over guitar duties.
We spent about six months having fun and experimenting before realizing we were actually creating some interesting music. At that point, we decided to take the project more seriously and began searching for a singer and a second guitarist. Easier said than done! We turned to Craigslist, spending another six months sifting through a cavalcade of Los Angeles weirdos and flakes. Although we jammed with a few cool people, nobody was a perfect fit.
Finally, in late 2010, the lineup solidified with Ali on vocals and Killian on rhythm/lead guitar. With a full roster, we were able to fine-tune our sound and played our first gig in February 2011. We’ve just completed a seven-song demo and are ready to rock the Southern California scene.
