Radio App and Public View

Work on the 440Music Radio Android App is now about 85% complete, bringing us closer to giving listeners a simple mobile way to discover and enjoy independent music. The app is being developed to support 440Music’s online radio stations, artist prom... See moreotion, and future music discovery tools, while keeping the focus on independent musicians, bands, songwriters, and music fans.

The largest hurdle has been the final database update for the 440Music.com website redesign. This was more than renaming old fields and moving data into a modern database schema. Several outdated tables had to be removed, new tables had to be added, and important relationships had to be rebuilt so legacy artist profiles, songs, videos, images, ratings, visit counts, and historical music data can work correctly in the updated system. This step is critical to protecting 440Music’s long history while preparing the platform for future growth.
