Band Story

L-Toka is a Comedic/Alternative Hip-Hop artist from New Orleans, LA currently residing in Humboldt County, CA . In a world where 95% of the Hip-Hop artists sound the same, he took the route to stand out instead of stand with. His comical and very humorous style has set him in a league of his own. Instead of typical picking up chicks, I’m better than you, I’m coming for the crown, and other braggadocios gimics, he has brought back the music and enjoyment of hip-hop. When people hear L-Toka, laughter is not a surprise reaction. With songs like, “Rain on the Parade”, Stripper Song”, “Road Rage”, and the unreleased jam, I’ll Really Feed You, at least one chuckle is guaranteed. Each day he strives to become a better artist and transcend above the norm. He’s having fun first, knowing the rest will come later. Since 2004, he has been going strong. He has open up for KRS-ONE, Del tha Funky Homosapien, Gift of Gab, and many others. Although he has to handle the admin now, he slowly wants to pass that torch and simply create art. After just releasing his second album, “Sense of Humor Not Included”, which he is currently promoting, he is now working on his third album, “Higharchy” to be released Fall 08.
