Band Story

Vessels of the Divine was born out of the shell of Hog Mountin with a need to expand the sound and further their musical and ambient boundaries. Hog Mountin founding member Robbie, guitarist Justin and drummer Bones set out to form RURNT. With RURNT, you could hear the different direction Robbie and Justin wanted to go. After Bones left the group for reasons not aware to me at this time, they changed the name of the group to Vessels of the Divine and struck out as a two piece playing semi-planned out musical improv. The need for a drummer settled in and after a few different line-up changes they foung Jason(ex Dummening and Bandildo). They had been friends for a while, played shows together while in separate bands and Jason even played in Hog Mountin for a short period of time. Now with the current line-up they have been playing shows trying to build up the ever important fan base. With two self recorded, self produced and self marketed albums under their belt, they are writing new material for the third installment of their discography. This will be the first time new drummer Jason has played on a Vessels of the Divine recording as the previous two albums were completed before he joined the band. The new songs have a different feel than the previous two albums. Nothing has changed in the style of music, just the execution. While some songs lull you into a false sense of security, other songs melt your face clean off. They have found their sound and work only to expand that horizon.
